Building Resilience

Building Resilience Training Course

“Resilience is accepting your new reality, even if it’s less good than the one you had before. You can fight it, you can do nothing but scream about what you’ve lost, or you can accept that and try to put together something that’s good.” Elizabeth Edwards

The term ‘resilience’ has been getting used more and more frequently. Especially through and after the pandemic, and through the improving attitudes towards mental health and well-being. Most people are recognising the benefits of personal (and collective) resilience. The Building Resilience course helps learners to recognise why resilience is important, and what makes up their personal resilience.

Where many leaders struggle with resilience is knowing specifically how to build personal or team resilience. This 1-day course helps with both. Helping leaders and managers become more aware of their personal resilience, discuss their follower’s resilience and get a clear plan on how to build resilience in themselves and their teams.

What does the course cover?

  • The what and why of resilience
  • How resilience helps you and your business
  • Discuss an i-resilience profile that measures your resilience and makes recommendations to help build your resilience
  • Increase your resilience levels through action planning

In summary

In Eric Greitens book ‘Resilience’ he said “No one escapes pain, fear, and suffering. Yet from pain can come wisdom, from fear can come courage, from suffering can come strength – if we have the virtue of resilience.” This module gives you the wisdom to help build courage and strength. It also gives a fantastic reflection point when you or your team do need to be more resilient.
