Train the Trainer

Train the Trainer Training Course

This practical 1-day course will provide the knowledge and skills required to design, deliver and evaluate practical and impactful work-based training sessions. This course will focus on developing techniques at all stages of the training cycle that help to engage and stimulate learners. It will also provide a platform from which delegates can continue to develop.

By the end of this course, delegates will be able to:

  • identify factors affecting the learning process including the implications of their own learning style;
  • write stretching learning aims/objectives in accordance with established ‘best practice’ approaches;
  • create a positive learning environment that will enhance both understanding and recall;
  • identify the strengths and development areas relating to their delivery style;
  • instruct on a one to one or small group basis using appropriate demonstration and constructive feedback skills;
  • state the benefits to be derived from validating and evaluating the training delivered.

To support the achievement of the above, delegates will have the opportunity to practise and develop practical skills using a number of small group, paired and individual exercises. They will also be encouraged to develop a personal action plan to support their continued learning back in the workplace.
